Job

A website for a small business, built to a measured standard and handed over with the numbers.

Static, self-contained, no runtime requests. Deployed to Cloudflare Pages. Handed over with a design system and the build record, so the next person to touch it can read what was done and why.

Proof of work

  1. Client Sky High Roofing, Victoria, BC The first paid commission. A roofing company's site: audit, scope, build, and a care plan. skyhighroofing.net
  2. Client Sacred Earth, Uganda A travel brand over photography. Every text surface measured on the rendered page: 7.13 to 16.8 against a floor of 7.0. sacred-earth.pages.dev
  3. Studio The builder's datasheet 0 third-party requests, 104 KB in total, re-probed at every deploy. ken.tbot.trade

Procedure

  1. A short interview. You answer in batches. The studio pushes back where a request would make the site worse, then restates the brief as a one-page spec for your sign-off.
  2. Research done fresh for your subject, never carried over from the last job: what your field looks like now, what to keep, what to break.
  3. Assets sourced or made, each with a licence you can point at. Anything showing a real person or a real place is flagged for your confirmation.
  4. The build, checked as it goes: contrast measured on the rendered page, a fallback for anything that can fail, keyboard and screen reader working, fast on a mid-range phone.
  5. Five review passes through five different lenses. Then a live link, the build record, and a handback that says what to do next and what the studio is not sure about.

Terms

A fixed price for the build, quoted after the brief. A monthly care plan after launch: the site is re-probed, re-measured and re-deployed, and the numbers are sent to you. Both figures come in the proposal, in writing, before any work starts.

The brief

Answer what you can. Gaps are fine; they become the interview.
